Now I'm sure from the sound of the subject line this might be a rant/rave/bitching post but by all means it's none of those. It's more of a calm understanding of how things just seem to have a way of balancing out in my life, at least as of late. Nothing too negative has been happening, but at the same time it seems to be offset by an equal amount of positive as well. I've been thinking for weeks now that I just need to get past these first few months of moving out here and this new job then I can stabilize financially and emotionally.

Things are slowly stabilizing lately so that's good. I got a wicked ass studio apartment, at least it's wicked to me; and it's on a year lease so I won't be moving again for at least that amount of time. Moving 5 times in 2 months is annoying as hell! I want to post pics of it but as of now I'm internet free till slow ass Comcast can come by and hook it up. I'm still not completely finished moving in since I have stuff still in storage in Fresno like my bed and loveseat. Hopefully I can get it all this weekend if my friend's available to drive with me in her full size truck, cause my huge Cali king size bed would never fit in my pickup. I hadn't slept on a real bed, till this past weekend when I was in Detroit visiting my friend Kate, for almost 2 months now. So now I'm sleeping on this air mattress that can't hold the air in itself the whole night so I usually wake up sleeping on the floor. >_<;

Well I have to head out for lunch now...(typing this at work since I don't have any internet at home)...so I'll continue this post later...maybe I'll save this in the draft posts and just edit it later instead of making it a 2 parter...naw I'm too lazy lol!

So my first week at this new job is almost done and I gotta say I'm liking it. It's interesting to learn all about the court system here in San Mateo county and just how much it costs to commit a crime. Yet another reason on a list of many to not break the law; top of the list is the prison show from HBO called OZ that I watched at the age of 18! I am a skinny white guy...not the best design to survive the criminal system...
The only sucky thing I've had to deal with is the early hours. Lots and lots and lots and lots of Rockstar drinks!
Tonight is the NIN/Jane's Addiction concert at the Shoreline & seeing as I had yet to get my final check from the Mirage even though I got processed out last Friday, I wasn't able to purchase a ticket. I'm hoping that they have some for sale once I get off and head to the event. I might get lucky and get some good seats if they had some last minute cancels....

We'll all start showing up after midnight tonight so fuck Krave tonight & see me off before I'm gone forever...lol!

I decided the other day while visiting the grand canyon that I'm going to start up a shotglass collection. So in a start of that collection I bought a Mirage shotglass while here being processed out of my emplyment with them.

So since I'm moving back to California on Sunday I decided to try to do things around here that I couldn't really do easily after the move. For example I've never ever been to the Grand Canyon. It's a 4+ hour drive from Las Vegas so I figure I should go now before it becomes a 14 hour drive from San Jose haha!

Unfortunately the concert is on the same day as my new job starts but that's the cost of change I suppose.
I'm hoping I can actually afford to buy a ticket for the 22nd show in bay area but I won't know till I've moved how my finances will be.

So I got the San Mateo county job. For reals for reals, this time not for fakes like the last interview. In fact they called me 10 minutes after the interview to offer me the position. I already put in my 2 weeks notice at the Mirage, which was more like 9 day notice from all the scheduling that had to be done so they can process me out on a weekday. But my last day of work at the Mirage will be next Thursday. Then I gotta prepare a mini version of my life, including the cuddle monkey birds and enough clothes to last a good week, to move up to San Jose with by that next Sunday so I can be ready for work on the 18th.

Oh it's gonna be fun fun to get use to waking up day shift hours. Not really seeing as how I'm used to barely going to sleep when I'll be forced to wake up now!

Time to party it up here while I have the chance since I'll have to be all responsible and stop drinking at 2am once I move...lol!

Ya I was suppose to leave early in the morning for Fresno but that shit just didn't happen. Wolverine movie and general laziness lagged me haha! Good movie too but now I get to drive later then I really wanted to. Most likely get into Fresno by the time everything is done and closed. That's just annoying cause there's nothing else to do there really besides drink and go to the casinos, like I don't have that here!

So why am I making this wonderful trip to Fresno then the bay area this weekend you ask? Well I thought I had the job in San Mateo county but I have one more hurdle to jump before I can officially say I have the job. One last interview with the top 7 people is slated for this Monday afternoon. The good news is I'm #1 on that list of 7 and I'm the last one of the day so they can tell me right before the end of the business day if I have the job or not, instead of making me wait for a response from them all week. I feel like I have this in the bag since I know I'm quite over qualified for what this job requires. There's no need for me to bullshit any of my skills like most interviews sorta require one to do since I basically know my shit. Then once I get the job I'll have to start 2 weeks later on the 18th which is crazy fast since I just moved into this room I'm renting at my friend Kolina's house. In fact I'm making the most of the weekend by checking out some apartments there in San Jose while I'm up there to try and move into by June 1st. Devon is letting me rent a room at his place for the last part of May so all in all I shall be moving 2 more times in a months time!!

Since I had 3 days off, because I had planned to drive Jade to the east coast and fly back before this interview came up, I decided to make it a weekend trip and visit the family since mothers day is coming up. There's also a tattoo convention going on in Fresno this weekend that my tattooist friend Danny is in so I'll go to see that hopefully at least tomorrow since I won't get into town on time tonight.

Well I suppose my lazy ass should get a move on...fucking haven't even packed...O_O

It's a challenging day to get much accomplished, for you would rather be dreaming about the future than handling situations in the present. But the Moon's entry into your 6th House of Work this evening may have you thinking that tomorrow will be a much better day to be productive. And, it just may be. Nevertheless, there are some things that must be completed today and you'll end up doing them under pressure if you avoid doing them earlier on.
